I can't speak on the other 2 albums, but would Pitchfork lie when reviewing Beyoncé?
Among other things, Beyoncé's "1+1" is a clever, of-the-moment update on Sam Cooke's "Wonderful World". Writer/producers Tricky Stewart and The-Dream retain the 1960 hit's "don't know much about algebra" line, but they scoop up that love song sentiment and plop it down into the perilous world of 2011. Cooke told his girl, "I know that if you love me too/ What a wonderful world this could be," while Beyoncé, referencing death, war, and maybe even a pending apocalypse, knows that the world is chaos, and just hopes that love can still do what Sam Cooke promised. "Make love to me," she implores, mixing vulnerability and confidence, and then she even explains why you should: "When the world's at war/ That our love will heal us all."
But this Sam Cooke update is also a Prince homage. Specifically "Purple Rain" thanks to those delicate guitars, melodramatic piano, and Beyoncé affecting the Purple One's high-register whimper a few times. But what could have been just a musical exercise for Stewart and The-Dream ("I don't know about guns/ But I've been shot by you" is a Prince-like head scratcher for sure) becomes something so much more for Beyoncé. So she really digs in and sells the song's knotty qualities, and when that over-the-top guitar break appears exactly when it should, it's cathartic. At that precise moment, this passionate pastiche of timeless pop becomes a classic all its own.

Definition of classic: A thing that is memorable and a very good example of its kind / Judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality and outstanding of its kind

Do you think 1+1 will be released as a single and become a radio staple for years to come?

Gurl please, if I ask someone about Blackout they think about World War Two rather than a pop album. Most people haven't even heard of it. People IMMEDIATELY know what I am talking about if I mention 'Thriller.' It's true gurls, deal with it.

Pitchfork never lies

Blackout reminds me how instantly recognisable Britney's vocals are, treated or untreated: Her thin Southern huskiness is one of the defining sounds of 00s pop. Meanwhile I was genuinely surprised, even shocked, by Blackout. Not because it's Britney, or because of its innovation, but because of its creepiness, its black hole heart.

Because they reveiwed her personal life at the time and the critics were slow to catch on to its Brilliance. Alot of critics reveiws mentioned only her personal life in 2007, yet by 2010 it was making there decade end lists

Im saying that because most people dont even know what "BlackOut" is if you ask them. Sure her fans and pop music stalkers know it, but outside of that no one knows what it is.

It does remain one of the more influential pop albums of the 00s. Whether you've heard it or not, it, along with some other early electro albums, is responsible for much of what you hear on the radio today.

Another lie, and im a testament to that.
Think is a MAINSTAY on talent shows so its remembered. Respect is just her most popular.
And the Beatles have probably one widely known key track by all ages and races, and I cant even name that cause I dont use the Beatles.
MJ is spot on though, his music is inescapable.

I'd like to see these "lists". The Sunday Times is 1, where are the others?

Yes. 1 point away from being considered "Mixed" Lemme go check and make sure they didn't miss any negative reviews and send it to them...

These girls think everything sounds like Blackout. This is what happens when people with limited music experience have access to two positive album reviews on one album

First of all I don't listen to the radio. And secondly im pretty sure the songs that are hits have jack **** to do with Blackout, your opinion on his influence is just as correct as my opinion RTWs impact.

Chile I've never even seen the cover. The only song I've heard from it was "Gimme more" & that was enough to leave me uninterested.

If Blackout is so influential so are Future Sex/Lovesounds and Loose.

Use your ears and brain. If you need any further receipts than that, then you should book an appointment with the doctor to have yourself checked out.

Femme Fatale will be known as another Britney album.
Born This Way will be remembered as the album in which GaGa took a 360 both artistically and with her fans, taking a dare at a sound that ended up selling moderately.
4 will be remembered by those who purchased it who will insist that it's quality is completely unparalleled by Beyonce. If Beyonce ever has a commercial sound ever again, people will say, "This is too mainstream...God, I wish it was more like 4.
