Do you guys think she should have released a remix for The Edge Of Glory to help it go #1? I mean, at this point it's way too late and she hasn't really ever been into the remixing thing. So, would you have supported her releasing a remix just for the charts or do you like her attitude of too classy for a remix/it's only about the music?
PS: I'm sorry if I ****ed it with the category I put this in, do something mods if I did.
I don't mind remixes tbh...I guess they can be considered "unfair" though. Having said this, I don't want them to become the new trend (i fear they already have) because it's just going to be a desperate easy #1 one-way ticket (at least it seems to be going that way).
In terms of gaga, I think if she were to do one remix, it would be for You & I b/c I feel like that song is going to need more help than TEOG. TEOG did quite well; I feel like the stans shouldn't be disappointed with its run. Especially when looking at some other artists and their respective song's run(s) lately...not to be shady or anything
I suppose that's the upside of her big ego - she won't collaborate for a remix.
Personally, I think these artists making remixes ought to release that collaboration with a remixes pack. Kinda like "The Judas remixes." I don't think they need to be separate songs.
I don't think any of her songs really lend itself to having a remix (like S&M, TTWE, LFN, etc).
Like, who would be featured on TEOG or Y&I and really make the song more interesting?
for Y&I the only person that comes to mind would be Elton John but that would probably do little for sales...maybe bruno mars (but i would never see that coming...nor would I want that. Don't really like the song either way)
Who the hell in the pop game right now would FIT on a Gaga track?
That's what's separating Gaga right now. She is in the writing credits for ALL her songs and Fernando Garibay+White Shadow aren't working with any other pop girls.
Dr. Luke can't call up a buddy for the remix is what it boils down to.
Gaga isnt too classy for anything. Like i said in the itunes chart thread, if she had a chance to hop on a remix with britney and get edge of glory to #1, she would've probably done it.

But she hasn't. Her singles have been underperforming compared to The Fame era, but she STILL hasn't gone to buddies for a remix. That's the bottom line.
And that's why even with out those 99 cent sales she still outsold your fave by hundreds of thousands.
I find remixes a cheap shot in trying to make your record go #1. Not to mention how extremely desperate you look having multiple remixes for singles back to back on one album.
