What does your family think/say about the artists you like or stan for?
Below are a few things my family members say about some popular artists. We actually talk about pop music alot so the things they said were brought up in casual conversation...some of the stuff I just HAD to write down for when I eventually made a blog or topic about it.
Lem's Dad, On Lady GaGa:
"She wants to sing about the gays and being possessed by the demon of Judas. I won't judge her, but I will pray for her."
Lem's Dad, On Katy Perry & Rihanna:
"I don't dislike Katy Perry and Rihanna, I just feel bad for them. They have to push moral boundaries just to stay relevant since they don't have talent."
Lem's Mom, On Kelly Rowland:
"Listen up B
(bitch), you ain't no B
(Beyonce), okayy?"
Lem's Mom, On Rihanna:
"How can you go from singing about chains and whips and shooting a man down to -- wrist-to-wrist? Nose-to-nose? Phony."
Lem's Brother, On Britney Spears:
"Your Queen Britney on that awards show [BBMA 11] was a joke. She didn't even try to sing and that 'dancing' was so weak."
Lem's Sister, On Rihanna:
In response to my mom: "It's not phony, you have to switch it up - you can't just keep releasing fist pump songs. Rihanna has to show her softer side."
I just think it's interesting to see what different age groups have to say about the artists today. So what do your family members (or even friends) say or think about your favorite artists, or other pop stars today?
