S&M should have peaked at #2. I wish Britney shouldn't have done that Remix, what is the point of been credited for only one week on Billboard for S&M.
Also TTWE didn't need a Remix. It would have peaked around #6 on Billboard and it would still have the same longevity.
About LFN Katy should have performed the song somewhere it she really wanted that #1. The same goes to Rihanna and S&M.
Regardless of Amazon, these multiple remixes need to slow down. Even though it's a lot easier to access and download music today then say 10 or 15 years ago, music is music and the remixes are quick fixes Let me add that some don't depend a quick fix and still roll in the sells
Don't let your nostalgia cloud your judgment. Marketing and manipulative techniques have always been a part of pop music. Back then it was just payola and taking advantage of Billboard's policy about songs only being to chart on the Hot 100 with a physical release.
