The key word here is influences. She's not going to record a country album so much as she's going to have songs on the album that will have more a bluesy country feel. Let me bold this statement for emphasis: Adele is not going to record a full country album. It would be a sound that mixes her current sound with a bluesy country feel.

(And really, even if she did, she's talented enough that it would be better than any current country album.)

I think she has enough range to pull of a lot, so yeah, this.

I've gotten into more country myself because they tell such great stories and they really stick with the melody as a key ingredient. Also its probably the only genre that is still mainstream but hasn't been affected by autotune and that crappy dance pop sound. Its still a pure genre with live instruments, real singers and great lyrics.

Its a natural. lateral move for her to incorporate that since her music is based on all of those things. I can tell that as long as she makes music that I will continue to listen and be a fan. Can't wait!!
