Why are there such enormous double standards in the music industry and society in general?

For example, everyday I hear women calling other women gorgeous, sexy, beautiful, etc. but if a man refers to another man like that he's ridiculed, called gay, and looked down upon.

Also, why is it that a TOP can have many, many, many sexual partners but a bottom who's done the same is looked down upon as loose, a ****, and nasty?

Do you agree with these double standards? Let's discuss.

The double standard is there because the majority of society is raised a certain way, girls are "sadly" look upon for their looks so they have been given lean way for complimenting each other.

Guys on the other hand are not raise to be looked upon for their looks so they try not to touch that subject.

I don't understand why it's so disgusting for men to be gay, but it's okay for women. In other words, why are two males more frowned upon than two women? As a straight female, either is okay for me. I actually find two males to be more appealing than two females. I know lesbians who say gay males are disgusting. In fact, my sister's gay and her girlfriend has a child. She says she'd never be okay with her son being gay. Where's the double standard in that?! She's a dumb bitch anyway.

Lesbians are often men bashers saying they aren't **** and are dogs yet they go get a woman who portrays herself as a male. They often have the male mentality as well and often times sleep around just as bad as the so called "dogs". I don't get it. I know you're going to be attracted to what you're attracted to but how are you not attracted to a man yet attracted to a pseudo-male? When I say pseudo, some of these females walking around today are more masculine than some men I know.
