The chorus was terrible, the melody was all over the place, there was a flopped featured artist on it and Nicki's flow was a mess. A recipe for disaster :-/
Let's not. The chorus... is a grower. Nicki's flow is hot though. And it's full of great metaphors. It's Nicki's Run the World (Girls).
Yes she has gone commercial but **** who hasn't these days. She tried going down the urban path but yall weren't here for that. But then when she goes pop everyone hates. She put out Massive Attack, the public didn't respond so she put out Your Love. Your Love clicked immediately with the general public because of the pop elements. Obviously albums aren't selling the way they use to so you have to try to make yourself known. When it comes to her music, she's going to put out commercial stuff . Who want's to flop? Overall, I guess PF was the album where she tried to find where she fits in. She can do the nice lil pop songs but can do the hip-hop ones also. I just hope for the next one, we get an healthy mix of the pop songs and the hip-hop ones. I would love her to gimme an Itty Bitty Piggy Pt. 2. And for the urban audience, they don't really care that she has gone Pop. They just love their Nicki Minaj and loves everything she puts out. (EX. Super Bass, clearly an pop song, has gone top 10 on Urban radios.)
