It's not just white people. Light skin Latin people get tans as well and I know this black chick that I'm friends with and she loves tanning which is to me is rare for a black girl.

I did try tanning one time and I had a huge sun burn in my left leg. I could not even walk. That was last time I went tanning. So tanning is not for me.
That's what I meant. She obviously looks black. But sometimes her skin is pale due to genes.
Well hunny you need to use the phrase correctly because "looking white" (or any color for that matter) involves skin color, facial feautures, and hair texture.
Nobody is saying "Is Mariah Italian? Greek? Cuz I totally see it. Why she no support her roots?"
