Interesting. Guess people ARE still pressed about race, even on places like ATRL.
Well, just to be fair, a lot of people gave the Avatar movie hell because they didn't portray them the way the fans wanted them to be, race-wise.
Same goes for the Green Lantern. A lot of people wanted and expected him to be black, but they were greeted with a white actor. Hm, I guess it's just all about respecting what the fans grew up with, so yeah, going from the Spiderman we know to going to someone gay blk/mixed is kind of random.
I will agree with you on the last bit though. Black anything seems to trigger rage in the ATRL gerls. So much for making progress in 2011.

The comic book geeks don't curr because this is in an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE...Peter Parker is very much alive in the regular Marvel canon.
