Madge is the queen like it or not

She's no queen to me. I really don't care how much success she has. Of course she's a legend and icon but it's my opinion. i feel she is extremely overrated. I'm honestly not shading her but she's not a good singer and her voice in my opinion is pretty much nothing. That alone makes any of her success insignificant.

Madonna is the real Queen simply because she challenged the pop mainstream, provoke people with her music, video, image, persona & lyrics.. Plus, Madonna dares to be different and a risk taker!

Madonna was not the Queen of Pop until she proved herself. Regardless of people calling her unoriginal, untalented, ugly, and gimmicky she still out-did most of her peers. Her relevancy proved herself as well. I would say this all happened during Ray of Light, where people were starting to realize who she is. The same happened with Britney Spears. She used to get so much **** in the past, and she does, but now all these industry folks have mad respect for her. Anyhow, Madonna needed the rise of Britney, Gaga and many others to prove her influence.

Though I agree with the statements about Madonna not really inventing anything, but popularizing it. Kind of like Michael and the moonwalk, which was someone else's move that he made huge.

1-Madonna is the queen of pop
2-Madonna DID NOT become queen of pop after Like A Virgin (that would be like Gaga became queen of pop after Born This Way-so no way)
3-Madonna became queen of pop after Vogue
4-Madonna conifmed that status with Erotica, sexual videos in early 90s, gay fans, and genius Ray Of Light
5-Madonna did not called herself queen of pop, media did-after Michael Jackson clearly became king of pop by fans and media
6-Dianna Ross has no place in this thread
