I know people on here will shade Katy for having to use a remix to reach #1, but I honestly don't have a problem with it. This is a FIFTH single from an artist who's been on the verge of being overexposed for the past year now. A lot of people had already heard the song before it's release or are probably just sick of Katy at the moment.
So while to some it may seem desperate, I have no problem with it. I mean how many people can say that they tied MJ in a record that actually matters?
It's not just any normal #1. It's a #1 that will write her name in the history book along side the King of Pop. So yeah, I'll be desperate too if I was her.
