So I wanna buy an ipod touch 4th gen but I am afraid that they might be releasing a 5th generation next month. Should I wait for the 5th gen or buy the 4th gen instead?


Of course the 5th gen will be better.. the IOS5, and rumors that the 5th gen will have 3g connectivity and a better camera resolution. The next gen would probably be a lot expensive than previous new released generations because of its better camera and 3g. I'm not a fan of 3g connectivity and definitely not here for a better camera since I have a digital camera. What I'm really concerned about is the IOS upgrade. I don't know.. maybe I'm thinking too much. Do you think the ipod touch 5th gen would be worth the wait or should I just buy the 4th gen?



PS: Don't try and tell me to get a Zune since Zunes are not available in my country and the iPod is the best mp3 player out here. But if Zune is available here i'd probably prefer that to an iPod.

I'd just wait for the iTouch 5 to come out and buy the itouch 4 for cheap since you don't particularly care about the upgrades. That's what I'm doing for the iPhone

The new iPod Touch refresh is coming along with the iPhone 5.

Whether the iTouch upgrade is major or not, you still should wait the extra month for the better product.

Well it depends if you're willing to pay the extra money for the newer product.
I have the Touch 4 and I love it.

Actually, I'm pretty contented with what the 4th generation is giving. It's the operating system that is really holding me back from buying the 4th generation. And are we gonna get the 5th generation on September? I mean every year Apple launches new generations of their iPods but the staff on our Apple Store told me that Apple is more focused with their Macbooks and computers and that they might not give us a new set of iPods this year. I call ******** for that though but it may happen. Haha

You should wait for a Nokia Windows Phone if you're a Microsoft fan. It will be announced this month.

I'm really not into phones though hahaha. I'd rather have an on set entertainment device. and I already have a Blackberry. I just want to upgrade my ipod nano to something better lol

However, this morning I tried holding down the Sleep / Wake button and the Home button together for a few seconds and my iPod came back to life
