Not really.

It was. However, the original concept for the album was to include many mid-tempos and tracks with a harder/rock edge. This was Britney's idea and she wrote nearly the entire album before they decided to go in a different direction. Jive even let her start recording some songs, but they didn't really like how it was turning out, and then finally, they felt uncomfortable with the album as it was, so they decided to go in a completely new direction. They wanted something more conventional, something more radio-friendly. "He About To Lose Me" and "Don't Keep Me Waiting" represent the original vibe of the album the most. She even collaborated with William Orbit, but absolutely nothing they did together made the final cut, which resulted in his breakdown on Twitter.
Most of the album was put together in late 2010. After changing the direction, she started recording in very late 2010 with Dr. Luke. "Till The World Ends," "Hold It Against Me," "Inside Out," "(Drop Dead) Beautiful," "Seal It With A Kiss," and "Gasoline," were all recorded prior to the end of 2010. The reason why we got the cover and the track-listing so late was the fact that they had finished the album in February 2011. (In addition, one of the reasons why she didn't promote "Hold It Against Me," besides her usual laziness, was the fact that she was still recording the album.) She was working on the album since 2009, and three songs from the 2009 sessions made the cut: "I Wanna Go," "Criminal," and the deluxe bonus, "Up N' Down."
I hope that we will get the album in its original form one day.
