but anyway LFN, CG & Peacock are trashy, but what about the others?
Just because an album isn't "Dark" or with a bunch of ballads doesn't mean that is soulles. She's in Love, the album is about being in love and feel like a teenager again. That's what is happening to her right now.

Soulless is not the same as impersonal. Read my post again. Just because a song or an album is based on real life events does not make not soulless. Last Friday Night is apparently based on real events, but that doesn't make it any less shallow or soulless. I never mentioned anything about ballads or darkness being requirements for a good album. It's simply that Katy Perry is catering to, literally, a teenage audience with Teenage Dream by making sweet bubblegum pop with catchy hooks but no maturity. Just because she co-writes her songs (alongside usually 3-5 other writers) does not make Teenage Dream a good album. At some point, she has to realize that she's 26, not 12, and while it's nice that she's in love, being in love typically enhances the creativity and quality of an album, not renders it so generic and hollow that only mindless teenagers are able to relate to it. The fact that multiple Katy Perry stans have said that her "****ty" personality on the album make it personal, and therefore a good album, is simply beyond human understanding.
As Travie McCoy himself said, ""I heard she put out a song that's about me, or about some old habits or whatever," McCoy said. "I look at it like this: I'm just stoked that she finally has a song with some substance on her record. Good job."
