I HIGHLY doubt he knows some but if he does you should have nothing to worry about. All he has is probably your email.
Then again hackers can do some crazy stuff these days

Obtaining someone's IP address isn't really hard work and nearly anyone with a brain can get someone's IP address through several different ways.
There's not much untrained people can do with an IP address except ping spam you. I wouldn't worry about it at all.
What a lame threat.
