That's fine, what I took issue with is you claiming that she's "running to the media" about it. As far as I know she hasn't brought Amy up herself beyond releasing a statement the next day.
And at any rate, it's more of a tribute to an artist to illustrate what their impact on others may have been rather than just saying "well that's unfortunate that she died."
I can't say to what degree Amy did or didn't inspire Gaga personally, but either way she's recognizing that Amy's success
was inspirational to others.
