It's a panel of 5 diverse and opinionated individuals.

Elizabeth is the conversavative, republican bitch that everyone loves to hate who doesn't always have the wisest choice of words.

Whoopi is a liberal. She's very different from Sherry, the other black panelist. She's gay (I think). IS WHOOPI GAY? I get gay teas from her. She's educated, a very successful actress and humanitarian, and very eccentric.

Sherry is outspoken and very open. She is also a liberal. She's more like the hip one.

Joy, to me, is like the white verson of Sherry who often has Elizabeth's number. She's older, liberal, and usually gives the tea.

Barbara Walters... I don't really know her political views. To me she's pretty neutral. Most of us know her as a the award winning, successful reporter. She's hardly ever there by the way and I honestly think she hardly ever adds much to the discussions at hand.

What's this? I want to join but I read that I can't nominate myself.

You can sign yourself up for a potential nomination. When nominations actually start, you won't be able to nominate yourself then.

Basically, if you're interested at all, add yourself to the list. Once I'm satisfied with the number of people signed up who are interested, I'll make a post directing people to choose who they think are the 5 best candidates from the sign-up list to be on the actual panel. Then, you won't be able to list yourself.
