I'm personally waiting to see how Miley Cyrus does with her next effort - but even then, she has an advantage over Justin, being a female pop artist in this current climate.

I think he's going to sell a ton of albums with his next release, though. Even his remix album released in February has sold 700k.

He doesn't have a "threat" yet either, and he's still fairly new. I think we'll have to see in a few years whether he will be successful or not. His next album should do well just off the success of his other efforts.

I agree. With Miley Cyrus, I meant she could prove whether a botched "transition" can be overcome, should something similar happen to Justin down the road.
I think the whole story is that Vanilla Ice is badmouthing Justin Bieber. That's just not true. I'm friends with him and I've hung out with him. I know his parents, they're very nice. I don't think he's going to be forgotten. I don't think he's going to be forgotten at all. In fact, I think he'll be remembered forever. I wish him all the best. I don't know how it all got so twisted around.
I think he's talented. What you guys might have picked up on is that I was giving him advice -- when you're a child star, it's hard to figure out your purpose in life. Not just with me, but if you follow other child stars, like Britney Spears, who's now doing great. There's a transitional period after such tremendous success that you have to figure out your life. There's a real life after all this entertainment.
I wasn't trying to say anything bad about anybody. I never badmouth him at all. It's been twisted into something bad, and once that's out there it takes on a life of its own. I don't have any reason to hate anybody; I believe in good karma and spreading good energy.
Vanilla who? LMFAO irrelevant hasbeen throwing irrelevant shade at my boy?
and to the people in this thread:
Let me tell you something, Justin is really talented and if you say otherwise you must be pretty pretty dumb. I've been a stan since 2007 before he was famous, I was subscribed to his channel BECAUSE of his VOICE and because he's so damn talented and he also caught the attention of many other people cause of that. Usher wanted to sign him, Justin Timberlake wanted to sign him and many other people too. Do you really think 2 talented singers like JT & Usher would fight over someone who has no talent? Oh my god some people on here are seriously just hating, you can't be serious...
And Vanilla Ice can **** off, just because he faded away so quickly doesn't mean that Justin will. He has many important people behind him who won't let him fade away, L.A. Reid, Usher, Yes usher who's been relevant for more than a decade, I'm pretty sure back then people thought Usher would fade away too but he's still having hits.
I think he'll fade away, but will not be forgotten. Vanilla Ice only had 2 hits, but people still remember him. If Miley couldn't kind success with more mature material (I guess? lol) as a female pop artist, then I don't think Justin can.
