I doubt the conductor would tell her to keep it down just for the sake of doing it or because she was having a bad day. She told the lady to keep it down because she was obviously loud, and her reaction to the conductor's wishes made that pretty apparent. You don't need an extra part of the video to get a sense of what happened. The "well-educated" woman showed off her ass while the conductor remained cool. She even touched the conductor, who responded calmly. That should be enough to get a sense of what had happened there. Any well-educated person would have handled that situation better. It seems that the conductor presented herself as more well-educated than the self-proclaimed "well-educated" one.

Metro North is operated by MTA, chartered by the NYS govt as the operator of public transportation. As such, it has governing codes and rules of conduct, and anyone using MTA services can be subject to ejection if the rules are not followed (which is why the conductor was threatening to throw her off)

Yes, there is a rule against using profanity in public transportation, at least where I live. One time, my friend was throwing F bombs on the bus (not loudly) and the driver pressed a button and a pre-recorded announcement reminded passengers that profanity is not allowed.

When I went to England, the National express coaches also clearly stated that profanity is not allowed. Hell, they didn't even want you on your cell phone at all!

Sorry, but I don't care if you have heard the F word a million times or that kids now know it anyway. Rules are rules and if it states no profanity, NO PROFANITY.

This woman tries to get off by rubbing her education in people's faces. Sure you may have a degree, but it can't buy you class.

Did you read my post? We basically said the same thing. Yes, technically it IS public transportation but that point is insignificant. My point, and what I wrote, was that there ARE rules and there was a completely valid reason for the conductor to ask the lady to quiet down then remove her from the train if necessary. So we agree
