All he does is bitch about the era, claim her album and singles are flopping when they've both certificated platinum, one 2x, and the album has sold almost 600k with poor promotion. I want to know a singer who halfassed 2 performances in the same day and certificated a Gold album which generated a #1 single, a 2x million selling top 3 smash, and on the way to the 3rd top 10 hit. He is just so ANNOYING. Nonsensical, stuck-up, delusional, useless, boring.
Your right louie, he wasnt nominated in 2002. But some of the past video vanguard award winners are: David Bowie, George Michael, Janet Jackson, Madonna, MJ, Bon Jovi, Tom Petty, And a few more.

Britney should easily snatch it - not this year though, so there is no point in trying to make it trend now. It would be more legit for her to win it next year, on vacation after she's wrapped a $100 millie tour and gathered her 14th top 10 hit.
It would be sooooo bad ass if she got it this year since this will mark the 10 year anniversary to the 2001 VMA performance. I think she'll definitely get the MTV award, but it may not be till she's 15 years in the game.
