Well, I do recall that in 2008 Chris Brown received nods for 3 different videos ("Forever," "With You," and "Kiss Kiss"), but that was the only time it ever happened...
I will say, though, that nominated all four of Katy's videos was a bit of overkill, especially when LFN could've easily been in VOTY, too (although I guess "Firework"
was the bigger song). And I also kinda understand some of E.T.'s technical nods as well as the Cinematography one for "Teenage Dream," so it might've been inevitable to have 4 of Katy's videos in the running...
On another note, I can't @ people saying that this is the worst list of nominations ever... The strangest or most eclectic one? YES. The worst? NO. Not while 2007 and 2008 (the general cats) are still considered Video Music Awards.
