Here I Am is MUCH better than her last album. Kelly's found her groove, not trying to be something or someone that she's not. Instead for the first time since Simply Deep, she's embracing who she is and seems comfortable in her role as solo singer and confident in her vocals, sexuality and career.
A part of me wishes this was released last year, but I'm glad she took her time with it and delivered a very fantastic album. It's not ground breaking nor will it re-define a genre, but it's a very good, better than expected offering. No one on radio has a voice like Kelly. When she sings she stands out and contrary to pressed opinion, doesn't sound like a background singer.
There are many potential singles and I hope she has great success and longevity with this album.
