This is a good point.
But while I'm not a fem-hater, I know why it can't really be compared to the lesbian thing: it's not looked down upon for women to be butch like it is men to be effeminate. Some straight people still find stereotypical lesbians amusing, but they don't discriminate against them for being more masculine. Feminine men are less acceptable in general.
