Meh. Like I said before, I don't find her explanation so unreasonable. She's used wheelchairs before, she's been talking about mermaids for awhile, it's not like the "mermaid in a wheelchair" thing came out of nowhere from her.
And for whatever it's worth, I'm very familiar with Bette Midler, but had never known about that specific routine before.
Then again, I've always thought the "X copied Y" game is really stupid, from both directions.
