I think most of the people who are saying yes are those that are still in high school or aren't out yet. Once you get a bit more comfortable with yourself, learn about your identity, and reach a place of acceptance, you'll realize just how special it is to be gay and how much stronger you are as a person because of the things you've endured when coming to terms with your sexual orientation.
