An epic, original, well-written saga with an incredible plot and well-round characters, developed into one of the best movie series of all time, and written by the hard-working, intelligent, generous JK Rowling.
Twilight
The manifestation of the wet dreams of some old cracked up bigoted spinster, who, let's face it, probably has peep-holes in all the local high-school boys changing rooms.
I admit to having read all of the Twilight books and even having gone to a Stephenie Meyer book signing (I was weird in High School) and while I do think the books are quick, fun, disposable, pointless reads, in no universe can they hold a candle to Harry Potter, at all.
