yes, they like Beyonce., my dad loves her lmao. They like CB, i dont think they know who Adele is though and my mom loooves Kanye. They only really know some of the big name artists though, the only music they really listen to is Nigerian music lol

My dad absolutely loathe Prince for no reason. He is just an insecure heterosexual who is afraid of everything a little out of norm. I never had the courage to tell him though.
He likes Bey, buys me stuff from her and when I was little he will cut any piece of magazine he founds that mention her or the Destiny's Child and bring that to me at home. He has no problem with her but he's not a stan.
However he has tremendous respect for Tupac and his music and listens to it.
He adores Otis Reeding, Marvin Gaye and James Brown so we used to trade our CDs and he always give me one of their CDs or DVDs for holidays occasion (birthday, Xmas and so on)

My mom is really supportive, she doesn't care about this stuff but she will dance to Bey (mostly Check On It) and sing her songs just to make me happy.

My mom respects the way that Madonna's been able to reinvent herself and stay relevant for all these years. And "Papa Don't Preach" and "Music" are some of her all time favorite songs. She LOVES Bey as a performer but hates her music.

My mom LOVES Britney. My mom loves Michael and likes Gaga as well, which is nice, because my dad hates Britney, Michael (except for the song Thriller ), and Gaga, but he thinks Gaga has a decent voice. He constantly tries to shade them.
