thats BS. what the mirror was talking about was the TV promo for the x factor where Simon was dreaming and this little girl in blue dress was auditioning. it said "Day 1" on the screen. that scene was clearly staged.
Pretty sure this is sensationalized because they jumped to this conclusion only because she wasn't in a damn trailer. That doesn't mean anything. They WANT people to think Nicole was always a judge, no shock there. But that doesn't mean Cheryl won't still be a brief "guest" in this season.
I thought they were trying to get Cheryl back stateside so they could make something to look like she was just a guest judge until Nicole came on board. Even though Nicole was hosting at the time.

They could just put photoshop Nicole's head on Cheryl's body. No one will even know.
