All Ciara needs is promo, the fact that she cant book big shows like the AMA's and the VMA's is the reason she is failing. High profile performances can help almost any performance artist get a hit. Look what American Idol did for Jennifer Lopez, she got the biggest hit of her ENTIRE CAREER.

She needs to revamp her sound. These throwaway urban tracks are dated now; she has to move with the times. She's a dancer, thus she should be making more dance-oriented music. If she does, then there's a possibility she could land another #1 or at least a big hit again. The sound that she was doing over there at Jive wasn't cutting it.

It's going to take a lot of work, but it's certainly possible. All she has to do is work her ass off by performing absolutely everywhere and updating her sound. Hopefully Epic can provide both those things.

An urban-dance hybrid sound would be perfect. She needs to do what Usher did by releasing music that has a crossover appeal. "OMG" and "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love Again" should be her examples.

I don't think she's capable of hitting #1, at least not right now. She needs to regain what she had lost first before that can even be a possibility again.

All she needs is some good promotion... we all know Jive ain't do **** for their artists, so hopefully the improved Epic Records can do something about that. We all know she's a great performer.

I've said this before, but when it was said, her stans jumped on me. This is obviously what she needs. Promo is one thing, but appealing music for the public is needed, too. Her sound is no longer appealing.

I don't know why her stans/fans are so against her making music that is current. I've never met stans more against their fav updating and changing. It's basically the only way she can have success. If the music isn't radio-friendly and appealing then promo is useless.

They have become overly defensive. Every time something is suggested, they wave it off as if it's a form of trolling. You can't always blame it on just lack of promo. The music is lacking.
That would have been an example. But her label didn't release it. They went straight for the songs that was so 2000 & late. "Ride"? "Speechless"? "Gimme That"?
