The singer’s much-hyped Femme Fatale Tour is a huge flop — but no one wants to tell her.
According to the National Enquirer, Spears’ handlers — particularly her conservator/dad Jamie and her former agent-turned-fiance Jason Trawick — refuse to tell Spears that her new concert series is bombing with reviewers or that tickets to the show are being sold at a deep discount by the coupon website Groupon.
“Britney thinks everything is going great,” said an insider. “She’s clueless!” While the dance-heavy tour opened in Sacramento to a capacity crowd, the truth is that Groupon had sold a large number of tickets at nearly half-price! And in some areas of the country, Groupon didn’t even sell out their one-day offers to Britney’s show.
Spears recently revealed she always takes her “fluffy pillow” on tour.
“When I am on tour, I must have my pillow from home, I have to have my fluffy pillow,” she said. “And I love shabby chic, so I would like to have all my dressing rooms and my bus done with shabby chic so because that is what my house is done out of, so I have the same feel as my home.”
BRITNEY Spears’ Femme Fatale tour, due to roll into Britain in October, has suffered a string of setbacks in America.
Ticket sales have been so slow that thousands are being offered at half their face value.
Some US critics have also slammed her *performances. One described her San Jose concert as “a mess pretty much from start to finish.”
An online music site blasted: “Princess of pop? More like queen of flop. Britney has never been so lacklustre.”
At the same time, US sales of the 29-year-old singer’s Femme Fatale album, released in March, have yet to hit 600,000 – her worst-ever figure for a new CD.
A spokesman said: “Britney is on the road until November and interest is as great as ever.”
To Be Honest this is nothing to laugh about. I could careless about her tour but the fact that her father & agent are lying and manipulating her like this is sickening. Poor Britney, it's sad her life had came to this. If this is true.
