It didn't break in to the Top 20 until November and the Top 10 with December, basically the same trajectory as JD the year before, except JD was released in April 2008 so it was a slow burner throughout the summer.

TiK ToK wasn't officially released until October of 2009 and it instantly blew up. It only had a radio release before that. Just Dance was initially released both digitally AND to radio and it still took forever to blow up.

Even then it still took until late that fall to catapult to the upper part of the Hot 100, unlike TiK ToK which only required a few months after its radio release and almost instantly upon digital release.

And it could have been called a flop in its early months of release. Natalia Kills' Wonderland single has been released for 3 months, would you call that a flop since it has yet to chart? I would.

What about "Mirrors"? It's been almost a year since that was released.

I really honestly do not think Ke$ha has ever copied Gaga. I've never seen anything slightly similar between them.

If it shows no signs of taking off that may be a difference case. JD was growing throughout the summer into the fall, and they capitalized off the holiday season sales like Tik Tok did the year after and Low the year before.
