Adele has revealed that she wants her third album to have more of an acoustic feel. The singer says she has seven songs already pencilled in for the follow-up to 21, probably including a cover of the INXS hit ‘Never Tear Us Apart’.
“It won’t be a big production. I want it to be quite acoustic and piano-led. I want to write it, record it, produce it all and master it on my own. I think it’ll take a lot longer because I want to do it this way. When I move house in the summer, my sound engineer is going to come and help me install a studio and teach me how to use it.”
As for whether she feels pressure to achieve the same success as 21 with it's follow-up, Adele claimed:
"I don’t really care about expectations. There was enough of it with this record. If you deliver the songs I think you get away with it. I’m not bothered. I’m not expecting my next record to be as big as this one. That’s impossible.”

Even though I believe she is rushing into the new album, I would be happy for some new material, I'm liking the way its going. A nice acoustic album would be nice to complement the work of 21, nothing too calculated as 21 was. As
The Prophet Blog said "21 was really collaboration heavy, with assistance from some of the biggest writers and producers in the industry to give the album the kind of universal appeal that’s attracted everybody from top forty pop fans to much less commercial crowds." The simplicity would be what makes it so good and smashable. It's not like she's being forced by her label. She has soo many songs on 21 that could be released as singles. 21 is far from being done, the US is still on the first single. But once again, this is suppose to come out in May. So she'll have two albums smashing effortlessly at one (Grammy's effect will keep it smashing). I'm also agreeing with what she said, there is no album that she can put out that will top 21. Its not going to happen, so I'm happy she won't try to recreate the era in the future. Set Fire to the Rain was released in the UK yesterday.
