But they were saying on the radio that you haven't really made it until Weird Al spoofs you. They were being dead serious. Like it's a huge honor or something.

Weird Al is a comedian who spans generations. People always connect with his songs.
It's a big effing deal when you are recognized by Al. Then, you are recognized by someone who can see that you are important enough to be parodied.
I kind of hope that Gaga works in some capacity with some well-known ambient/atmospheric artists. I wonder what would come out of her collaborating with people like Aphex Twin, Burial, Deerhunter, etc. She seems like she would be interested in it, especially after seeing what she wanted to accomplish sonically with the songs on Born This Way.
After this latest description of Ke$ha's new record, I'm quite certain she is chasing Gaga's wig with everything she has. Strangely enough, I think Ke$ha is by far the closest to Gaga out of all of the pop girls, especially in taste. I'm sure Gaga has quite a more extensive knowledge of music and more talent, but Ke$ha is definitely still there.
I'm wondering how her next record will be received critically. Cannibal did well.
I don't understand why Cannibal was considered so good...I mean if you take the absolute best 8 tracks off of Animal, I think it would be better than Cannibal.
Those songs were inescapable on the radio. I barely hear TEOG.
SAME. I have heard TEOG maybe twice on the radio? I think cause LA has a lot of Mexicans, they cater to that audience. I hear Pitbull ALL the ****ing time, "On the Floor" still sooo often.

The flop singers are on a polka medly which he has on each of his albums to provide a glimpse into the popular songs at the time. If you look at his song parodies that are just one song, you will see some pretty culturally significant songs. You Belong With Me, Born This Way, Lose Yourself, I Want It That Way...
You know, he has the rare experience of an artist who is able to make it in the comedy music business where people are usually just novelty acts who do not accomplish much. He just recently re-peaked himself on the Billboard 200...after 30 years.
