Sometimes, I find myself wondering why some people stan so hard for an artist. Maybe it's because I'm not interested at all in that artist or I cannot relate to. So, I would like to know why do you stan for your fave. Why did this artist made you a stan and not another one?
Let me start with Lady Gaga :
First, before Gaga, I use to like a lot Gwen Stefani. I loved her fashion, her talent, her excellent pop music. I think Gaga is an extreme version of Gwen Stefani, so it was easy for me to like her.
Obviously, her music is what made me interested in her at first, but not only that. Her persona was so intriguing, I found myself watching her interviews, her live performances - something I use to never do with other artists. Everything was interesting, as she said, her whole life is performance act. Even a public appearance was interesting because I found myself wondering what will she be wearing. Then, I found that that she was an extremely talented artist with her acoustic covers.
The moment I started stanning for her is when I saw her music videos. I hadn't seen music videos so good and interesting in a longg time (Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Telephone). This period was the time were I started to like her at some level never seen with other artists. She was the first artist that I bought a single on iTunes for, that I bought an album and that I went to a concert.
Also, even before I knew she was so close to gay people, I instantly found a connection with her on that point. Her obvious difference from the other artists and her highly sexual image was probably a key factor in that field. I even did my coming out during the LoveGame period
I can't say that she was the only reason I did my coming out, which would be a lie, but she made me more confident with myself in that period for sure. Being gay is being different from the majority, but you still have to deal with yourself and show the world who you really are - something Gaga isn't afraid to do. Maybe that's why the connection was so natural.
Her personnality is also an highlight for me. Sometimes, I start smiling when watching one of her interviews because her personnality is just so bright.
Anyways, your turn, why do you stan for you fave ?
I first heard Just DAnce, I didn't pay too much attention. Once pokerface started playing I heard the song everyday before school started at my local Deli store. I had to find out who this woman was, luckily I had a friend who worked at a bar that she had performed in and He told me who she was. I searched her on youtube and immediately saw her old stuff from Red and Blue. I immediately became a fan.
Once she picked up I increasingly became fascinated, her persona captivated me. I felt like she brought spirit back into popular culture. This was very awkward for me because I seldom listen to pop music, I'm a Rock, Folk, Alternative guy.
What made me a "stan" is that she was very intelligent she knew what she wanted, she is coherent and a brilliant thinker with a wild image. Constantly crafting ideas that intrigue and draw you in.
Because the three in my sig are talented. they can sing, write and produce their own music
theres other favs I like as well, lady gaga, britney, ....etc...

What about actually relating to the music or them personally?
Well, with GaGa, really, the first artist I'd ever paid any attention to other than Britney Spears (for her first 3 albums? maybe 2 I forget).
I heard Just Dance, and was annoyed that it was being played so much. Then, people in my french class started talking about how weird she was, and by then Poker Face had already came out. Then, I watched the Poker Face video, and then it was instantaneous. I became absolutely in love with everything she's done.
Now the next two people are a bit less interesting I guess.
Kylie Minogue: I only knew, "Can't get you outta my head." But then, Aphrodite came out and by this point I had already *****d out TFM as much as you really could. I was looking for a good dance album, and I saw Aphrodite on the top of BIllboard's Dance/Electro albums, and I fell in love instantly. I then went through her entire discography and consider her to be absolutely stunning. I only wish she were more popular in the US (although, she gets number 1's on billboard dance charts + went platnium once with Fever).
And the last one, and the most recent.
Ke$ha. I had always enjoyed her; however, I held Bad Romance peaking at #2 against her for a long time, lol. I started really listening to her once YLIMD came on the radio (which my ex bf dedicated to me one day). And after that, I just really liked her. Once me and my ex broke up, I quit listening to her and began listening to Teenage Dream on repeat (which is why I don't like it anymore). Then, Cannibal came out and I *****d the hell out of it (because once again I *****d out TFM so much that I was desperate for something new). I fell in love with her, but not quite stan worthy just yet. Then, I started coming on here, and I met Vin. After that, I found out that she had a ****-ton of unreleased demos, and since then I have been captivated by her. I've had BTW + Ke$ha on repeat constantly since (and most recently, a lot of Madonna, see SYG about that.).
That's why I stan for those in my siggy.
(Oh, and the fact that ke$ha/GaGa write majority of their stuff, and Kylie writes some of hers (less so than the others), is another reason why I respect them more).
Britney Spears - I stan for her because she is simply amazing. She has been through the worst and came back even BETTER. Her music is amazing. Whether it comes down to the Baby One More Time era or the Femme Fatale era she has always done flawless. She has worked non stop to please fans and she has been through it all and she is still such a sweet person. She is somebody I truly regard as amazing and her success inspires me to always try my best at everything I do in life.
Katy Perry - Simple. Shes beautiful, successful and a great person. Shes not afraid to express her thoughts and feelings. Her album Teenage Dream is my second favorite in all of history of music. She is beautiful and she lives a happy life. If people call her a bitch they are just ignorant. She is truly sweet and if shes a bitch well whoever got that deserved it. Katy overall just has had amazing success, beautiful looks, amazing music, and shes just perfect.
Ive always been a fan of britney since oops. But it wasnt until late 2007/early 2008, in between the headshaving and the vma mess that i actually became a "stan" which is weird since that's she lost most of her fans.
I stan for britney first of all because of the type of person she is. She's always been humble throughout her career, never trashed any other celebrity like others have. I also love how strong she is, after all the **** she went through she's still here making music and touring. I HATE how people on here say she's being forced to tour and that she doesnt love her fans. She may hate doing interviews and promo performances, but when she's on stage is the only time we really see her bubbly personality. She shines on stage and it's clear how much she loves performing for her fans.
I also love her voice which for some reason is hard for people to understand. Just because she doesnt have a christina/beyonce voice doesnt mean she's not a good singer. Her voice draws me in, with her subtle execution and unique pronunciation.
There have been lots of moments that i've been embarrassed to be a stan (bma awards performance ), but i dont think i could ever turn my back on brit.
Taylor Momsen
Why i Stan For Taylor Momsen, well shes the most beautiful person in the world behind that black make up, she is the best singer well best female singer in the world, i even think shes better then beyonce, pink and Adam lambert, and she was the main cast in my fave tv show on gossip girl before she left for pretty reckless.
Rihanna
been a stan since 2005, and never want to stop, i hated pop i would never be seen in a place like this if it wasnt for pon de replay, after that i love her more and more and more once every song came out, when i saw her in that little nightclub when she was 16, never knew she be grown up to be one of the most amazing artist in the world.
Evermore & South park
well they are my life...end of story.
I stan for Beyonce, because I find us to be very similar. We are both extremely shy, but masters at our craft. When I see Beyonce I see someone who is strong, confident, talented, & driven just well rounded, but also very humble and knows that everything that comes to her is a blessing . That is what I aspire to be.
It's simple. I love everything about her. Her music, her image, her looks, her voice, her attitude, the way she treats her fans, her intelligence, her mind for music, her mind for business, her determination, but most of all, her personality. I just love her, the music and all of the other stuff aside. She's hilarious, she's kind, she's loving, she's personable...I feel like she's my sister. I know that seems weird, but even just the way she talks makes me happy and thrilled. I just love her.
They say you should never meet your idol. Well, whoever said that never met her. As a person she's an angel. Her music is incredible. How can you not love her?

She has one of the best personalities ever. Her m&gs look hilarious
I stan for Michael because deep in my heart, even though I never had a personal conversation with him, I truly believe that he's one of the most sincere, kind-hearted people to ever walk the face of this Earth. He got way too much **** from people. He was treated so horribly most of his life, and some of the things that people say about him to this day is just disgusting. He went through hell and back, but he still kept a smile on his face and tried to please those around him. He wasn't perfect, obviously he's made mistakes just like everybody else, but I have the utmost respect for him. I like the type of person that he is. He's sincere, funny, goofy, silly, humble, and realistic. Most people just talk about how much they WANT to change the world, but he actually went out there and tried to change the world. He wasn't all talk. His music touches me deeply, and I don't think there's more than 2 songs by him that I don't enjoy, and he's definitely done a lot for music. In a way, I feel we're kind of similar, because I can relate to a lot of his music and a lot of things that he's said in interviews, and I agree with a lot of his opinions on things. I think he just wanted someone to truly, truly understand him and accept him for who he was as a person, inside and out. And that man might be the only man on this Earth that is capable of giving me damn butterflies and ****.
I stan for Britney because she is just so amazing. I grew up with her, and I just...cannot see my life without Britney or Britney's music. Honestly, I don't think her music has ever disappointed me. Her music always, always puts me in a better mood and she hypes me up. When I'm getting ready to go out somewhere, all I gotta do is put some Britney on, and I instantly feel excited and positive. She's been through hell and back, and though I don't agree with some of the things that she's done, I still respect her and at the end of the day - it's her life. So many people consider her a talent-less popstar, but I believe that she has a great amount of talent, she just doesn't...show it as often as she could or should. It's there, though. She's funny and silly, and I think if her and I had the opportunity to be friends, we'd be the best of f*cking friends because we have the same sense of humor and ever since For The Record, I know that I can definitely relate to her personally. I connect with her music, too, and her music has helped me get through a lot of tough situations. She seems like such a fun person to be around with. She's very humble and she doesn't ever trash any other celebrities. She keeps it classy. Plus, she's hot as hell. Like, even now with the droopy eyes. Gurl is still sexy.
I stan for Gaga because she is amazing as well. She knows what she wants and she'll keep trying until she gets it. She worked so hard to get to where she is now, and I respect her so much for that. She was rejected so many times, but that didn't stop her from still trying. When I first heard Just Dance, I thought she was cool and I liked the song, so I downloaded it. Then, eventually, I started watching her interviews and performances and I fell in love with her persona and who she is. She's so talented. I love hearing her sing live because her voice is music to my ears. I love, love, love her music. She's refreshing. People say she copies other artists, and I don't really care about that, because I still think she's changing things up and I respect her for trying. I love her creativity and her image. She has a brilliant, wonderful mind and she knows what to do with it. Her being adorable and sexy at the same time is a bonus, too.
