As much as I  David (I voted for him EVERY WEEK, 100s of times!!!), I think he needs to work on doing something truly innovative with the gift he's been given. I feel he's only grown minimally since we saw him on Idol. This is a good song, but it sounds like it could have been an outcast from his debut (which I love). I agree, he's really gifted and I hope he finds a good management that will take care of him and where he'll be able fully showcase his talents.
Listening to the lyrics, I think this song is one that didnt make it to his 2nd album since there's an "up" theme in it.
