Britney was able to tweet away about her album release and date, so her fans were much more aware.

Bey doesn't tweet and the only time/reason the majority of the buying public have known about the album's release would be the Target commercial.

What I'm saying is, Britney informed her fans about the album's release, more than a few times.

Beyonce didn't really do all that much, yet still got the same numbers.

But RTW was performed at the Billboard Awards and at the Oprah finale, while 1+1 was performed at the American Idol finale, not to mention her BET Awards performance. Those are four MAJOR promotional tools. Two award shows and two huge finales plus her MTV special, GMA, and the Piers Morgan special and she's only likely to pull a bit above 300k? You can't blame just decent sales on the lack of a hit single when there's promo like that.

Sony shipped a million copies of 4 and it is available on itunes and other digital formats. It is available for all those who want it.

Girl please, ignoring your songs does not mean performing it or promoting it every major televised event within a 1 month frame. A radio interview isn't going to do **** over Oprah Winfrey's Finale, the highest rated TV show American Idol, and the Billboard Awards...which came with a splashy press release that included her latest album news.

How people's opinions change? I never said HIAM was a hit because it really wasn't that much of a hit, and I never denied that RTW(G) was a flop, because it kind of was. But they are very similar situations because Beyonce had no hit singles and Britney's HIAM was forgotten by the time Femme Fatale was released and TTWE had yet to become a hit, either.

What hypocrisy? Britney actually had hit singles, Beyoncé didn't. These numbers are good for her because of THAT reason alone. Femme Fatale is also much more radio friendly and marketable than 4, so there is no reason why FF shouldn't have been higher first week and there is also no reason why 4 should be matching it, with no hits in all its supposedly "boring glory"

Britney had a chart topping SINGLE when Femme Fatale was released....HIAM debuted at #1 solely based on HYPE....as you love to point out, it DIED shortly after its release.

The fact that Britney can sell the same as Beyonce without all the massive promotion she did speaks volumes too.

If the songs had done something on the charts after the performances then we could've been able to talk. But they didn't do much.

Yet she still is predicted to sell good as predicted.

I am NOT getting in this Bey vs. Britney war but.... Britney is on her 7th album. 6 of them went #1 with sales over 500K. If ya'll are gonna argue album for album... Britney's 4th album did over 600K it's first week and Me Against the Music peaked at #35 on the Hot 100.
