People keep saying Adele is new like Gaga has been out for 6years+

I just wish people on this board would know what the hell they are talking about before posting.

And the Leona comparisons never go far... Adele smashed her ass at the Grammys THREE YEARS AGO. Two multi-platinum albums deep to Leona's ONE.

This TRINITY mess is so redundant. I'm not even sure how it's chosen.

If we're going on this "fairly new" logic, then why is GaGa placed with Britney and Beyonce, when they have been around longer and have proven their longevity through multiple albums, singles, tours, etc.?

If anything, Pink should be placed with Britney and Beyonce, since they have all proven themselves over years and years.

GaGa should perhaps be placed with Katy and Rihanna, even though she has proven herself a bit more than those two. But this makes more sense if we're trying to come up with any "trinity." And really, if we're not basing the "trinity" members on what's happening in 2011, then Whitney, Mariah and Celine will forever be "The Trinity."

Gaga and Beyonce deserve to be in the trinity, so for me it's a hit. Adele is slaying right now but she's relatively new, but I'm okay with her being in the trinity because she's actually talented. Some other pop stars on the other hand...

Hmmmm, just "thinking out loud" so to speak, but I think the "legendary" trinity is Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, and Madonna.

The "superiors" of today (who are past their "peak" but are still making great music) would be Beyonce, Britney, and maybe Usher.
(Who said that it had to be a girl? If there is actually a rule, then I didn't know, but for now I am saying Usher.)

And the "new generation" of today that are producing hits and pretty much ruling are Rihanna, Lady GaGa, and Katy Perry.
