Edge of Glory is a weird single for Gaga... It's lasting really long sells-wise compared to her other singles. Oh well, I applaud her... I do wish she would release something riskier though...

As Taiwan's fans of pop sensation Lady Gaga eagerly await her arrival, Taichung mayor Jason Hu has revealed that he is probably the biggest fan of them all.
The mayor said that he wrote Lady Gaga an email two years ago asking her to visit his city in central Taiwan.
Two years later, Hu will finally see his idol in the flesh. The American pop singer is expected to arrive in Taiwan on July 1 and meet with her fans in a promotional album launch in Taichung on July 3.
Hu said in an interview with a local radio station that he found out two years ago that Lady Gaga planned to visit Asia in 2011. Though Taiwan was not included in the singer's initial itinerary, Hu wrote an email to the singer and invited her to come to Taichung.
"Lady Gaga is a great performer, a real talent. She is not a showoff as is portrayed in the media," Hu said.
Hu said he thought it would be great if the world's top musical celebrity could visit Taiwan and suggested a great performance venue -- the Taichung Arena.
"This is what I mean by saying never give up," Hu said. "When everyone said this was impossible, I believed that if you stick with it and don't give up, it will happen eventually."
The mayor is also sparing no expense in giving the pop star a welcome worthy of pop royalty. He said the streets of Taichung will be decorated with flags featuring the singer and the city government will throw a party to welcome her, during which he will present her with the keys to the city.
The mayor said Taichung is a pleasant city. There is less pressure here and the weather is nice, he said, adding he hopes international stars like Lady Gaga will come back to visit his city again.
