The Queen of Pop strikes back!
Not only is she slaying the charts, but she is slaying animal abusers.

Quote:
POP STAR Leona Lewis and MP Diane Abbott have joined forces to urge the Government to ban the use of wild animals in circuses.
Poet Benjamin Zephaniah, a well-known vegan, is also supporting the ban to be proposed in Parliament, which includes using bears, elephants and lions for entertainment.
Lewis, a Hackney constituent and supporter of the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) said: “I know many MPs agree with the vast majority of the public and would like to see an end to the practice.
“Even Defra’s public consultation, carried out last year, resulted in an enormous 94.5 percent of public support for a ban on the use of wild animals in circuses.”
She later tweeted: “Thanks to @hackneyabbott for supporting the circus animal ban, your voice can help us save these animals”, after the MP responded to a letter she had written.
Mrs Abbott responded: “@leonalewismusic Glad to support the circus animal ban. These animals are suffering.”
The Labour MP added: “This issue has struck a chord with people from all walks of life. After a year of delay the Tory-led Government has failed to ban the use of wild animals in circuses and people are making themselves heard on this issue.”
While in Government, Labour had pledged to implement a ban following a public consultation.
A ban is strongly supported by the RSPCA and British Veterinary Association who have expressed dismay at the Government’s decision to proceed with a licensing scheme.
