Nah she was a miscast. And Harry Potter does miscast actors into the wrong roles. Hermione isn't supposed to be that pretty so many fans were kinda disappointed they picked Emma Watson but at the end of the day she prove everyone wrong when she acted the part convincingly. Ginny/Boonie, when she first started was alright to me as everyone thought Ginny was shy. But we were quite wrong when we found out she was this little tomboy who had a crush on Harry so she was just acting the shy part. Once, Ginny/Bonnie grew up, it looked more and more to me that they were very incompatible. Ginny is a character that was supposed to be more assertive as she grows up but she never really got you into thinking she was there. Even newer characters such as Luna Lovegood became more important than her to the point Ginny was just there to exist, to become Harry's girlfriend and to fill any plothole if she was left out which even if she was, it wouldn't make any quite difference at all to the story. Put other girls in Harry's life or maybe if J.K. does another Dumbledore, put a guy in his life.
