Oh yeah, Mandown said it perfectly, especially with the last paragraph. Most of my faves don't release music regularly/ are under the radar, so it's hard to be vocal about everybody.
stan is a misleading term. as i know, stan in eminem's song would kill for his fave. thats scary
i once read back in 2008 when single ladies video premiered and people didnt use the term stan to identify themselves in atrl, and when dead psycho shows some serious dragging people (mazen and the like) said "stan-alert"
that shows that back in the day, stanning aint really common and only used to identify some obsessive fans. but today one can see people with 'haus of something' nickname and call them stan
they have the term for this in sociology/psychology or something. like its only a trend for being a stan.
