Simon Curtis signs to ie:music for Global Representation!
Quote:
London, June 17, 2011 -- David Enthoven, Tim Clark and David Russell are pleased to announce that the innovative and exciting recording artist Simon Curtis has appointed ie:music to represent him on a global basis.
In two short years Simon Curtis has managed to forge a unique path in today’s industry. Starting with the independent, totally self funded and free-for-download 2010 release of his debut album 8-Bit Heart Simon Curtis has managed to accomplish the kind of presence that more established artists only imagine. His new album, RA, released worldwide Monday June 4, 2011 on his own BoyRobot Records only proves how strong his presence is; without a major label, management, agent, marketing plan or publicity involved the album has managed to debut at #20 on the BILLBOARD Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Ie: music is excited to come on board and work with Simon in developing what we believe will be a cutting edge career in pop music.
Congratulations Simon!!! The lessors better hold on to their wigs!
I've only heard one song from him, and I really liked it. I downloaded his album a few days ago, but I haven't listened to it completely let. But I read his twitter and I LOL'd a lot, I like this kid.
It sure is! I'm so happy for Simon... Really hoping the success doesn't change him. As of right now, he still replies to his fans and is very accessible on twitter.
Someone like Frankmusik though, who just unfollowed everyone and no longer talks to people...
