Mariah probably thought she looked her best during that era.. She probably didn't want to do a new photo shoot due to her pregnancy. She just had her babies, so she's definitely not in shape yet.
I understand why she would do that. She's probably working on getting her figure back. Besides, she really doesn't look that much different (well if we look past the fact that she barely just gave birth).
