Jennifer Lopez has exclusively told MTV News that artists like Lady GaGa "motivated and inspired" her to achieve more in her musical career.
We caught up with the On The Floor hitmaker, who was in London promoting her new album, Love?, to talk all things J.Lo and just had to ask if fresh talent like GaGa made her want to accomplish more when it came to her own music.
When speaking of GaGa's achievements, Lopez revealed: "I’m always motivated by other artists and inspired by them. They inspire me because when I see other people doing great things, it makes me want to do great things too."
Despite admitting to being inspired by Lady G, the American Idol judge stated that we will not see her imitating any of the Poker Face singer's eccentic traits any time soon.
Lopez explained: "I never am one to look at other people and try to do what they do. I always feel like a true artist does what they do and it is very very individual to who they are."
"You can’t copy or do anything like that it just becomes weird but if you’re true to yourself and push your own boundaries and your limits, you can’t help but come out with something great."
J.Lo has previously worked with Lady GaGa on Love? tracks Hypnotico and Invading My Mind, telling us: "I love her sense of lyric and melody, I feel like she’s very interesting. It’s just not something you’re gonna hear everyday."
She added: "I really love the records she worked on and was glad to be able to take those and make them my own and actually have that collaboration with her. I feel very lucky to have done that."
