Singing over a backing track is live for Britney. So yes, it's good. She'll be "live" the whole show, like DWAD.
Singing over a backing track when you're mic is on a "listenable" volume, yes. Even the fans of the lessors consider their fave "live singing" when this happens (although they will stone Britney). Anyway, DWAD was almost entirely lip-synced.
I still do not believe she'll sing live or even sing over a backing track (with her mic audible)...
I Wanna Go isn't generic. lol. It has elements of Hi-NRG, New Wave, Electronica and Europop. It also has a whistle hook not commonly found in pop music at all
To be honest it doesn't surprise me that IWG is getting major success in Europe. It has a sound that people love over there. It has similar elements to sounds like You Spin Me Right Round and Blue Monday both of which were huge hits over there. I love that this is seeing success over there though hopefully it will be another top 5 hit for her. This should be big it's probably her best pure pop song since Oops!
Could you give us a better explanation on this "major success"? I'm not trying to be shady, I just lost all interest on the european charts after... Well, you all know why.

It's her first song to be put on A-List radio (high rotation) in the U.K. since 2004. That will almost surely give it a rather big boost in terms of single placements there as radio will be spinning it constantly. If it performs well in the U.K. it will likely perform well in other countries since the UK is a gateway market to Europe.
Nearly all the girls sing over a backing track, well they all do so
anndddd great news
I wanna go was added by Radio 1 + Capitol to their A list playlist the , the first Britney song in 7 years
Same here. In Portugal two of the most popular radios (Comercial - Promoter for the show and RFM) didn't play Britney since 2004, "EVerytime". At least we have this radio Orbital that always plays her
finished editing the I Wanna Go music video... love it... met up with @britneyspears... we watched it together... she loved it... stoked...

Didn't 'Womanizer' go A-List?
Anywayz, I really hope you're right. I still don't consider this "major" though. I'll wait to call it that when "I Wanna Go" hits at least Top 5 in the UK official chart.

Hell, anything under Top 3 can't be exactly called "major" - Unless it stays in the Top 10 for, let's say, 10+ weeks - I only said "Top 5" because we all know Britney's situation in the UK, so it's only reasonable to lower expectations.

Maybe we just refer to the UK as the FlUKe for now on
- Coming off her biggest radio hit ever "Till The World Ends"
- Album sales are stable
- "I Wanna Go" taking off effortlessly
- Flawless reviews and massive hype for the new tour
- The return of dancing and live vocals
I'm just so damn proud to be a stan right now. I can't.
