This is really old news, but I'm discovering it for the first time. If you have a fancy phone, like a Droid HTC, you may have been having issues linking new contacts via through Facebook. I have had people text me / call me and then I try to save their number and link them to their Facebook, but there was no link available. Why? I've done this many times before.
Well I just randomly started googling the answer, and here is why. Google is no longer supporting HTC for the Facebook app and many people are having this issue. It's the most stupidest move ever because now my contacts are boring and have no Facebook profile picture in the icon. Why have this option if it's not available?
For all you people without an icon picture, you may have to now start taking pictures of your friends or stealing their Facebook pictures and creating an icon yourself.
But still, if you enter their "Contact" information on your phone, it's set-up to be Facebook syncable. So why the change? I hope this get's fixed somehow because it's clearly a mess now. I really don't like having people text me and it shows up just as their name and no picture and no contact information via Facebook anymore.
