I would do Top 40 mixed with current unknown or up and coming. I would not be wasting time playing old and tired hits of last year.

Pop, rock, alternative pretty much. A TRL countdown/show (that would be obviously the flag show of the channel) and I don't know, some other shows like thematic playlists, etc.

It would have literally EVERYTHING. Everything from hits from the 10s to flops from the 90s. But then again, I doubt anybody would be able to enjoy it, as nobody that I know of personally has a taste in music similar to mine. All artists would be played, regardless of gender or genre.

Music Channel: Pop, R&B, Rock, a little Hip-Hop and Country (artists like Carrie Underwood, The Band Perry, Keith Urban; nothing too Country); a little of everything. I'd have countdown like TRL, as well as a weekly top 20/30/40, like VH1 has. I'd also have some Behind the Music/Unplugged-type of shows. It would also have some Pop Culture shows (not reality), from shows like I Love the 90s to The Soup/Best Week Ever/Fashion Police. A late night show like Chelsea Lately would be fun too. Lots of music videos, something like 12+ hours each day (like 12am-12pm). I'd have an hour or two of new videos as well. Also some playlists of certain aritsts/themes.

Schedule:

Large block of music videos
Countdown show (2 hours, so the videos are played all the way through)
Various music-related specials/playlists
A longer weekend countdown show

Radio Station: Again, Pop, R&B, Rock, a little Hip-Hop and Country, a little of everything. A morning show (similar to Kidd Kraddick) and a show at night (similar to Open House Party). Maybe an afternoon show (similar to On-Air with Ryan Seacrest) too. An hour of new music. A countdown show (similar to 9@9) and a weekly countdown show (similar to AT40). Pretty similar.

Schedule:
Weekdays:
6-11am - Morning Show
11-12pm - New Music
12-3pm - Music
3-6pm - Afternoon Show
6-11pm - Night Show (with a countdown at 8 or 9)
11pm-12am - New Music
12-6am - Music

Weekends wouldn't have a morning or afternoon show, but would have a longer countdown.

i play everything but mostly Evermore, Rihanna & TPR only channel u will get all their old stuff daily and not only the new stuff, Justin is banned......Britney & Beyonce play once a day or twice (if lucky)

My channel would definitely have an international flavor. The playlist would have all the world's local hits. Many different languages.

Example schedule:

12-6 AM non-stop music from around the world, from all decades, all levels of popularity
6-9 AM mostly uptempo current music
9-12 PM Latin/African (traditional) music
12-3 PM Asian music
3-6 PM European/American music
6-8 PM chart hours, recaps charts from around the world and airs the biggest hits
8-10 PM request hours, people can request a certain video online with like a story or dedication and the best ones are picked out and highlighted on air
10-12 PM for weird, non-standard music
