EDIT: ''The Adventures of Radiance Maggie'' sorry.
Release date: July 18
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced the release date and title of their new album. First via bassist Flea’s Twitter, then shortly followed by a brief statement left on the bands official website.
“Red Hot Chili Peppers are excited to announce that their new album will hit stores on August 30, 2011!! The new album is produced by Rick Rubin and is titled I'm With You. Keep checking back for more updates,” was posted to the website Sunday evening.
The mention of bringing Rick Rubin back on board sounds promising and will hopefully be reminiscent of the genius work created from the last Chili Pepper/Rubin collaboration, 1991‘s Blood Sugar Sex Magik. With Josh Klinghoffer currently replacing lead guitarist John Frusciante after his second departure from the band, the new dynamic will surely be on fan’s minds. Klinghoffer also stepped in for Frusciante after his first departure from the band in 2006 after leaving to pursue a solo career.
Stay posted to RHCP.com for more album info and look for the first single “The Adventures Of Radiance Maggie” to be released to radio stations July 18.
