How can I get rid of viruses ? Also what program should I use ?

Try avira and malwarebytes. If it's tew late for that reprogram.

First, find out whatever you can about the virus. If there's any kind of pop up, like an obviously bogus "security" program popup, like "Windows Security Alert" or something, type it into google and look up how to remove it. Find out the name of the virus.

If that's not possible, then go straight to MALWAREBYES. Download that, and run it.

Malwarebytes will get rid of almost anything. It's free too.

everytime i try to install Malwarebytes, i click run to install and nothing happens ?

The virus is preventing you to launch the exe. I suggest you reprogram your lappy now.

Try installing it in safe mode.

AVG 2011 is a really good free Anti Virus Ive been using it for how much years on computers and have avoided getting virus. For a basic free version it certainly does the work of one with money spent.

Also, sometimes when u do System Restore and go back to a date where u know the virus wsn't on.. sometimes that helps.

You can use a free anti-virus, but I haven't used them before so I don't know how they work...OR, you could try a free 30 day trial with either Norton Internet Security 2011, Norton Antivirus 2011 or Norton 360. I've been using Norton for about 3 years now and it's cleaned up my PC (I had one trojan horse) and has kept me protected since then.

You may not be looking for something that'll just last 30 days, but hey it should get rid of your virus(es), and while you're protected just look for a good, free anti-virus if you don't want to spend money paying for a year of Norton after the trial ends.
