I think its because the future of pop is feminine as well as the future of society, most pop acts try to give macho teas so people dont think they are gay even if they look gay, michael jackson,prince and all those 80 male gers were succesful because they were kinda gerly in their art, I think we cant deny michael jackson's voice and dancing are a lil bit gerly, the 80s spandex and mega long hair,etc,etc.

Adele was originally called the " new Amy Winehouse" in the U.K. media - singer ,musician, and song writer like Amy without the personal problems of Amy. Amy's 5 Grammy wins in one night set the tone and was the beginning of female pop dominance. Also according to Gaga (at the beginning her career) she was constantly being mistaken for Amy Winehouse by the media. Plus Amy's Back to Black was in the top 5 best sellers worldwide for 2 years in row. A surprising omission.

Bruno's hits were all written and produced by The Smeezingtons. Yes, he is a part of them. But it is no secret that almost every major hit in the past 24 months is ultimately a result of either The Smeezingtons or Max Martin + Dr. Luke. It would appear that all anyone needs to be successful is one of a few producers.

If Bruno Mars releases Marry You, it's a sure-fire hit, but right now** the only other male artist that's smashing is Pitbull, surprisingly enough. His last few singles have all been top ten hits, so this era's shaping up to good for him thus far, but against monsters like ADELE and Katy Perry, he can only do so much.
